Biddeford Electric Blanket Review

The Biddeford electric blanket is a plush and comfortable warming blanket that comes with an digital controller with automatic shut off. Biddeford blankets are regarded highly on two things, which are heating effectiveness and the price. These blankets are among the most cost effective warming electric blankets out in the market today. They can also heat quickly and consistently providing hours of warmth.

We found Amazon.com to have the best prices on the Biddeford Diamond Weave Electric Blanket. Click here to check it out.

The analog electric blanket is 100% polyester in fiber content so unlike acrylic or poly acrylic blends, this blanket is the least prone to pilling and shedding. It is less soft than the other Biddeford blankets with different materials however customers are generally pleased with its texture and durability. Polyester is able to withstand heat better than acrylic so repeated use of the blankets with polyester or acrylic material will show a clear difference in the quality of both. The difference is only attributable to the known characteristics of each material. All blankets are machine washable.

The digital dial has ten heat settings and automatically shuts off after ten hours of continuous use. The heating elements in the blanket are thin and users gave split reviews on whether or not they are noticeable. The cord is attached to the middle bottom part of the blanket, which some users find unusual and they prefer it attached to a corner of the blanket. The cord length is about 13 feet, which is the medium length for blankets of this size.

The Biddeford Diamond Weave electric blanket comes with a five year limited warranty. For electric blankets in the same price range, it is performing pretty well. It is consistent in heating fast and evenly. When you get one that outlasts two winters, chances are the warranty would be needless as this blanket is able to last through years and years of repeated use.

The usual problem with electric heated blankets that need replacement is failing after one year of use.  The controller might not work and the blanket won’t heat. Other than that, the minor problems are the pilling and shedding. In comparison to blankets in the higher price range, it seems that Biddeford is not up to par but if you consider the economy and quality of Biddeford digital electric heated blankets altogether, you still get good value for your money.

Side effects dnpeed on the person. When I lived in a dry climate, the blanket dried my skin. Not somewhere else. Anything electric uses electricity. I have not used one in a long time. It should not run the bill up much. When you get up in the morning you will have to turn the heat up and heat the whole place. Keeping your thermostat below 75 in the winter saves on your bill. Above 75 in the summer saves. If you live in an area where there are storms, you can loose your electricity for as long as two hours or more. You would need the other cover as a stand by. How do you clean them? Someone laid on mine and it never worked again. You sleep from 6 to 8 hours. This could be debatable. Thermal blankets would be better. Soft, warm and confortable, and light.

Hi, I just checked out your site, it looks good, everything seems really inexpensive, and new moms LOVE inexpensive.

To answer your question, YES I would pay $42 for a blanket, I would rather pay $42 for a good blanket than waste my money on ones that fall apart.
